5/6T are learning how to create simple financial budgets in Microsoft Excel! Our budget is $5000 and we are organising and itinerary for a family of four to travel to the Gold Coast!
5/6T are learning to research the features of a planet and how long it takes to orbit the sun! We are currently working on presenting our information in an innovative, engaging way! What creative ways are you thinking of to present your research? Will you use a webtool? How can you show your thinking in a creative way?
5/6N are using their research skills to construct an information report on one of the unique planets in our solar system. Mrs Tanak wants to know what planet we are researching, how long the planet takes to orbit the Sun, and some really interesting facts about the planet!
Mrs Tanak also wants her students to present their research CREATIVELY using one of the Webtools. E.g. Prezi, Voki, Popplet etc.
5/6N are looking forward to displaying FANTASTIC work here very soon!
I am sure you all had a great time celebrating your learning last week. I wonder what interests you most of all.
I enjoy learning about different languages and cultures. It makes me feel happy when I can practise my skills in this area to speak French and Spanish, in particular. It also helps me to understand where people come from and how different people interact with each other in the many countries across the world. I would like to learn more about different art techniques because I enjoy looking at amazing artworks in galleries. I also enjoy learning dance routines.
What do you like to learn about?
What makes you happy when you learn?
Why do you like learning about this?
What would you like to learn more about?
What else do you enjoy learning?
You may have more than one thing you enjoy.
I look forward to reading some of your comments.
56L have been learning how to write quality blog posts. Here are some of their thoughts from their time on Camp, or at school if they didn’t attend the camp.

What an amazing semester of learning in 56T!
When you have finished your blog post you need to read these questions and discuss with a partner.
What have you achieved?
What are you pleased with?
What will you be working on for next term?
What are you looking forward to?

What an amazing 3 days…..I wonder if some of these images bring back memories.
What else do you remember?
What was your favourite part?
If you didn’t go what did you learn back at school?
What stuck with me?
The history and memories shared at the Australian War Memorial. With amazing dioramas and artefacts which tell the untold stories. Walking into the tomb of the unknown soldier resonated with me in particular.
Seeing the smiles on children’s faces as they play and learn about snow for the first time.
I look forward to seeing your entertaining and informative blog posts!
Check out what 56N have learnt about Government.
Who used a different webtool to organise their information?
What else have you discovered since your recent trip to Canberra? Write a comment about something else you have discovered.
Check out how students in 56T have organised their knowledge about the government in response to the previous post. I am impressed with how much they have learnt. I wonder what new information they will teach you.
As most of Stage 3 will be travelling to Canberra next week we would like to make sure you will be able to answer all of the questions that you will be asked during the trip. Even if you are not going it is important to learn about our government system and how our nation is run. You never know….you might even see the prime minister while you are there!
Your challenge today is to demonstrate what you know about:
* federal parliament.
Use bubblus or popplet to create an organised map of your understanding about this term’s topic. You will find links to these sites on the blog homepage.
